ICMT Awards 2024 - An Eventful Day!

On Friday November 15th, Business Development Director David Rushe and Marketing Manager Dave Ewing attended the 7th Irish Credit Management Training Credit Team of the Year awards in the Royal Marine Hotel in Dún Laoghaire. Cashbook have sponsored the ICMT Awards for several years now, and always send a team to represent at the event.

We were greeted at the entrance by our host Declan Flood, Chief Executive of the ICMT. As showed us to our table, he was delighted to tell us that the attendance for the ICMT Awards was 10% higher than the year before.

After we were seated and had our first course, the first part of the award ceremony began. For the first of three groups of categories, the winner was announced for each category and they received their award on stage.

Main course was served, and awards for the second group of categories were presented.

As part of this group, the award sponsored by Cashbook – FMCG Team of the Year – was presented by Marketing Manager of Cashbook, Dave Ewing. The award for this year went to the Tayto Group.

Dessert was served, and then there was a little interlude the entire audience participated in a table quiz via their mobile phones. There were 15 general knowledge questions where speed and accuracy both contributed to your score. With two questions remaining, Dave Ewing was top of the leaderboard. Unfortunately, Q14 was somewhat of a trick question and cost him the lead. In the end, 4th place (out of 150 participants) was a pretty good outcome.

ICMT Awards – A surprise award for Cashbook

After the quiz, the final batch of awards were presented. To our great surprise and delight, Cashbook won the Process Automation Company of the Year award for 2024! David Rushe and Dave Ewing both went on stage to accept the award.

The crawling Friday evening traffic on the M50 did little to dampen our spirits on the drive home!
