Cashbook supporting local

Cashbook are delighted to sponsor the U12 Lisnagry Football Club girls team from our local village of Castleconnell! Here’s a picture of Lisnagry FC after their recent game against Newport, at home in Scanlon Park. Supporting local is very important to the team and we want to showcase this achievement for the girls.

It was a high octane, energetic and strong game! The Lisnagry FC girls really shone in their new team kit and put it up to Newport at every turn. Superb tackles and turnovers, great passes and interplay brought them to 0-0 at halftime. With a second hand start Newport threatened their goal but they withheld all advances until Newport eventually broke the stalemate and netted a goal. They played their hearts out and were unlucky not to equalize. The match finished 0-1 to Newport but we are immensely proud of this group. It was such a close game and could have gone either way. As always the team photo has a unique spin and this time it was interlocking hands. All smiles, even though the outcome wasn’t what they hoped for. They have a strong team so the future is bright. Lisnagry FC are fantastic group of girls!
